This program reviews the current issues regarding radiation dose. It examines the evidence of the risks of radiation, modifications made to protocols, appropriateness of ordering computed tomography (CT) exams, and development of a quality assurance (QA) program. The content describes new techniques to lower dose when performing CT and parameters utilized in a radiological practice to reduce CT dose.
The course is meant for Radiologist who have experience in performing CT on regular basis. A basic knowledge of physics and fundamentals of CT would help you better understand the topics discussed here.
