This program is a blend of elearning and classroom training. The elearning part of this program is highly interactive and the content is revealed through the aid of scenarios. The classroom sessions use instruction, role play, classroom exercises, and group discussions to ensure maximum absorption and retention of information. This program gives insight on handling various routine and emergency situations that occur during pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum and newborn period. It also discusses the special care and emotional support that is imperative for pregnant women, especially the women with special needs, adolescents, or women living with violence.
This course is intended for nurses. A basic knowledge of nursing is recommended, however not mandatory.
