Anesthesia Workstations are an improvement over the older machines. They have better ventilators, which allow quite a few advantages of the ICU ventilators to be transferred to the Operation Theatre. They allow more information to be displayed on the screens. Thus, they allow better monitoring of ventilator parameters. A major advance is the incorporation of various support modes. This course gives you an insight on how all of this is of use to you in Operation Theatres.
After completing this course, you will be able to
- Identify lung protective ventilation strategies.
- Explain low flow anesthesia in detail.
- Describe spirometry.
- List the new modes ventilation.
This course is intended for doctors.

The theory, practical , hospital situations , data shown and live workshop to have the feel in action, made us more aware and broadened our knowledge to handle cardiac patients. It was a great learning experience and I wont change any aspect of the course.
